Olebile Daphney Muzila has experience in commercial litigation, particularly in insolvency, restructuring, corporate recoveries, employment disputes, mining, banking, construction, energy, and procurement law. She also provides strategic and risk management advice as well as legal auditing. She has acted for various financial institutions, government, and multinational companies. Olebile served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Botswana Agricultural Marketing Board and is currently serving an Independent Non-Executive Director at Export Credit Insurance And Guarantee Company (Botswana) Proprietary Limited (BECI).

- Representing a creditor in an application to disqualify the directors of a principal debtor that was liquidated
- Representing a shareholder/creditor in intervening in the judicial management of a company for a debt of $ 3,555,851.00
- Representing a Bank in the sequestration proceedings of the sureties of an Oil Company in a debt of BWP 34,000,000.00
- Represented First National Bank of Botswana in intervening in a the judicial management and subsequent liquidation of Tati River Lodge
- Represented the BCL liquidator in a dispute concerning the purchase of assets worth BWP 24,000,000.00.
- Represented a Mining Company to broker a settlement agreement in the sum of BWP 250,000,000.00 with a regulator at the end of the mining contract
- Represented Jarcon Open Cast Mining Company against a claim to attach its assets
- Represented the liquidator of Tati Nickel Mining Company in the restoration of Botswana Metal Refinery (Proprietary) Limited to the Register of Companies as well as the liquidation of Botswana Metal Refinery (Proprietary) Limited.
- Represented a shareholder of a company that offers camp management services to mines in Botswana, in placing that company under judicial management.
- Represented Minor Hotel Group Gaborone (Proprietary) Limited t/a Avani Gaborone Resort & Casino in a number of labour related issues and insurance claims.
- Represented Imara Group of Companies in before the High Court.
- Represented Special Economic Zone Authority (“SEZA”) in a petition for judicial management of one of their contractors.
- Acted for a shareholder and former employee of Morula Capital Partners and secured a multi-million pula out of court settlement.
- Acted for Botswana Meat Commission (“BMC”) in a number of matters against Feed-lotters and offered advisory on distribution agreements with respect to distribution of BMC products in the European Union.
- Represented the Board of the Botswana Building Society (“BBS”) in a dispute with its management.
- Acted for Camp Management Services Botswana in a defamation claim for BWP900,000.00 in the context of a tactical resignation.
- Is representing the Liquidator of BCL Limited (in Liquidation) in a matter where Epiroc Botswana (Proprietary) Limited is suing the Ministry of Minerals and Energy on the basis of a letter of comfort as well as the former directors of BCL for reckless trading.
- is acting as counsel to First National Bank of Botswana Limited (“FNBB”) to recover BWP12,000,000.00 against sureties and co-principal debtors.
- represented Puma Energy Botswana (Proprietary) Limited in a claim for holding over damages emanating from an agreement to rehabilitate a site.
- acted as counsel for First National Bank of Botswana Limited (“FNBB”) in liquidation litigation against Bridgetown (Proprietary) Limited for BWP 38,000,000.00.
- assisted in an international arbitration before the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) commenced by Norilsk Nickel for USD 272,000,000.00 against the liquidator of BCL.
- Assisted in insolvency litigation with respect to the BCL Group in South Africa on the review of the decision of the Minister of Mineral Resources and acted in insolvency litigation in Botswana.
- Advised Phillip Morris South Africa on a distribution agreement.
