Covid-19 Botswana

BOOKBINDER BUSINESS LAW: Statement to clients

This statement serves to advise on our business operations in light of the easing of lockdown restrictions implemented by the Government of Botswana with effect from 8 March 2020.

We hereby inform you that our offices will re-open on 12 May 2020. We will do so in compliance with the regulations and directions of the Ministry of Health. Therefore please note that we will require the following of you if you are to attend to our offices:

  • national identity and/or passport in order for us to register your details;
  • contact details;
  • we are to administer a temperature check; and
  • all patrons are to wear face masks or cloths covering their mouths.

We are required by law to deny entry to anyone who refuses to adhere to the above requirements.

To ensure the health and safety of our staff and clients, we have decided that some of our lawyers will continue to operate from home and provide our services remotely. However, where there is a need to attend to the office we will do so. To assist us in continuing to minimise the spread of Covid-19, we request that you continue to schedule telephone and video conferences, and that in so far as is reasonably practicable, matters be handled electronically.

Please note government business is resuming and most services will begin to be available with effect from 8 May 2020. For further information on this, please click here.

We are available over the phone and on email, please continue to reach out to your primary contact. Should you have any questions, kindly contact the Partners as follows:
