On 6 October 2023, the Ministry for State President published the Data Protection (Amendment) Act (Transitional Period) Order, 2023 (the Extension Order), in terms of which the data processing compliance transition period under the Data Protection Act, 2018, No. 32 of 2018 (the Data Protection Act) has been further extended to 13 October 2024.
